What Are Some Alternatives To Google
Google is today the most popular search engine in Internet searches. Google's market share of over 90% in a number of countries. But who is its main competitor today? What options do you have when you're looking for information online? We'll look at the strengths and weak points of two other search engines. See this link for an example.

Microsoft's Bing Search Engine
Microsoft's Bing is probably the most frequently-used alternative to Google. The two appear similar in terms of visual appearance. Their search engine results provide details on each result (a title and a description), as well as a link to the result itself. The panel can be found within the right navigation pane of certain search results that contain information of particular interest. Bing provides vertical search engines to help you find certain types of content, such as videos, images as well as news and other. These may appear both within the main search engine results, and on separate pages. Google is accused of displaying YouTube videos prominently within videos in searches. However it hasn't been an issue for Bing. Bing is, just like Google does, too, analyzes user behaviour by persistently storing information about search queries and the results they clicked. This allows Bing the capability to show personalised advertising directly in its results for searches. Bing can also provide personalised advertisements within its Windows operating system.

Duckduckgo Search Engine
DuckDuckGo is a substitute for Google. When you start an online search, it will perform the search on your behalf. DuckDuckGo collects Bing results, and presents them to you directly in your browser. When you use this search engine, you will not have directly with Bing. Bing is not able to gain access to your personal information, such IP address, or your current location. DuckDuckDuckGo also adds ads to its search results. It is however unable to serve personalized advertisements since the US search engine doesn't gather any information about users. If you search for "holidays" will only return ads that relate to what you searched. Because it's made the decision not to use any other information on you, it won't be allowed to use that. Bing is very like Google in our view. Which one you prefer over the other is up to individual preferences. We love DuckDuckGo since it's easier to keep your identity completely private.
